Uniqlo and White Mountaineering have just released one of the best outdoor collections this winter
Par Julien Lambea
Long before the current tendency of gorpcore and other outdoor inspiration technical clothes worn in the city, the Japanese brand White Mountaineering (founded in 2006) already offered clothes inspired by mountain, often as technical as those of gender specialists butWith attention to design and aesthetics that quickly gave it real fashion credibility so that it has participated in Paris Fashion Week since 2016.His credo: “The Field in Which We Wear Clothes is all outdoors”.This also explains the 3 pillars that the creator Yosuke Aizawa uses to design his collections: “One, design. Two, Utility.Three, technology ”.Accustomed to collaborations (we met Yosuke Aizawa in 2016 during a collection with Adidas), White Mountaineering joined forces with Uniqlo to rethink the theme of “Made for All” dear to the Japanese fashion giant with acollection, obviously rich in Outerwear, around the theme of the family.
Oriented towards sport and outdoor activities (and in nature) and therefore planned to dress the whole family, this collection also responds to a lot of current streetwear codes: there are slightly oversized silhouettes and two of the most partscoveted from these last winters - fleece and the jacket liner - in versions with sleek design but not free from useful and subtle details. If you are looking for what to stay warm this winter without denying the style or exceeding your budget, you now know where to go.
Find the entire collection on the Uniqlo site and in certain brand shops.
